Trivia: During the opening credits, one of the movies parodied is The Sound of Music (1965), which starred Blake Edwards’ wife, Julie Andrews.
 

Goofs: Continuity: In the first sequence in the gay bar, Closeau and Ainsley Jarvis are sitting down and talking. The macaw of Bruno defecates on the right shoulder of Closeau’s jacket; Bruno wipes the excrement, but it still leaves a stain. Later in this same sequence, that stain disappears completely.
